The Story Behind the Name
Every extraordinary place begins with a story.
Long before Zephyr Palace welcomed celebrations from around the world, its identity was inspired by the timeless legend of Zephyr, the gentle Greek god of the west wind.
According to the legend, Zephyr wandered in search of a place where the sea, the mountains, the sky, and the wind existed in perfect harmony. When he discovered this remarkable mountaintop overlooking Costa Rica’s Pacific coast, he chose it as the place where beauty and celebration would forever come together.
That legend inspired the original vision shared during the inauguration of Zephyr Palace in 2006, when guests were introduced to a mythical palace watched over by guardians, magical characters, and the spirit of Zephyr himself. It was never presented as historical fact, but as the symbolic story behind a place created to celebrate life’s most meaningful moments.
Today, whether understood as myth or inspiration, that spirit continues to define Zephyr Palace.
